Tennis lessons for kids and junior players

Coordination, confidence and technique at the right pace.

Kids keep playing sports they feel successful at, so that is what I build the lesson around: shorter racquets, slower low-compression balls, and short-court games so a five or six year old is rallying instead of swinging at air and losing interest.

Older juniors move onto the full court, where we work on real technique, serve mechanics, and the point-construction skills school teams look for. Either way the tone stays encouraging — I correct quietly and specifically, never as a public dressing-down. Parents are welcome courtside for every lesson, and I am happy to explain what we are working on.

With kids I stay patient and encouraging. Younger players work on balance, hand-eye coordination, and simple technique with age-appropriate equipment. Older juniors move into full-court play and competition skills.

What you’ll walk away with

  • Balance, footwork and coordination that transfer to other sports
  • Clean fundamentals learned before bad habits set in
  • Confidence from rallying successfully early
  • A pathway toward school team and junior competition

Best suited to

  • Kids trying tennis for the first time
  • Juniors preparing for school teams
  • Families who want a positive first sports experience

One service, one price

There's no separate package for this — it's a normal tennis lesson with me. Rates depend on the length of the lesson, whether it's one-on-one or semi-private, and the court we use, and I confirm the exact price before anything is scheduled.

I'll send you the lesson location when I confirm your request.
